Minnesota

Gopher 5 is Minnesota’s original cash lottery game. Players pick five numbers between one and 42. They have to match three, four or five of them to win. Players who match all five numbers win a jackpot that starts at $100,000 and rolls over. In the Bonus Gopher Game a bonus ball is drawn. Matching the bonus ball in addition to other balls increases players’ winnings.

Northstar Cash is Minnesota’s newest game. Jackpots start at $25,000 and increase until someone wins. In general, the odds of winning are one in six. To play, players choose five numbers between one and 31. If they match all five they win the jackpot and are paid in cash.

Daily 3 offers eight ways to win. Players choose three numbers and can win by matching one, two or all three of them. Players choose their wager time and how much money they want to play with and this determines how much they win.

Minnesota also offers G3 games. These are a type of instant win game where players’ tickets are printed immediately at the stand. Players know if they’ve won right away and they can claim their winnings immediately.

Iowa

In the $100,000 Cash Game players pick 5 numbers between one and 35. If players match all five they win $100,000. Prizes are also available for matching three and four numbers.

In Pick 3 players can bet in increments from 50 cents to $5. Players select three numbers from zero to nine and then select the play type they’d like. The different play types determine in what way and in what order players have to match numbers to win. The amount of money bet and the type of play determines the payout. Pick 4 is similar to Pick 3 except players pick four numbers.

Montana

In Montana Cash, players get two plays for $1. The jackpot starts at a guaranteed $20,000 and rolls over until someone wins. Players pick five numbers and receive a prize for matching three, four or five of them. Drawings are on Wednesday and Saturday.

Montana also has Qwik Tix, which are instant lottery tickets similar to Minnesota’s G3.
